Second Arrest Made in Howard’s Creek Road Shooting

A second arrest has now occurred in relation to the shooting incident in the 700 Block of Howard’s Creek Road on March 12. Sheriff Len D. Hagaman, Jr. reports that on Thursday March 15 Tyler Coty Delp turned himself in to the local North Carolina Division of Community Corrections Office of Adult Probation and Parole.

Delp, age 19, was served with numerous probation violations and taken before a Watauga County Magistrate and held with no bond. He was also served on two felony warrants, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Larceny of a Firearm, relating to the shooting incident.

Delp was taken before a Watauga County Magistrate on those two felony charges and was given a $60,000.00 secured bond and a court date of May 17, 2012.
