Last Updated on November 20, 2019 6:12 pm

Crews are on the scene and working hard this morning to restore power to members in western Watauga County after a tree fell on a line in the Laurel Branch community, according to Blue Ridge Energy.

At one point over 1,000 Blue Ridge Energy members were without power. At 8:05am it was down to 17.

Watauga County Schools noted just after 7am that, “Power has been restored at Cove Creek School and should be at Bethel School within the hour. Both schools are operating on a regular schedule.”

The school system also mention that power was back up at 8:05am.
