A New Jersey woman was found deceased in her hotel room on Thursday. According to Boone Police, on July 20, 2017 the Boone Police Communications received a call of an unresponsive person at The Hampton Inn, 1252 Hwy 421. Boone Police Officer, Fire and Watauga Medics responded.
Ms. Marian Babcock, age 62, of Bergenfield, NJ, was found deceased in her room. The cause of death has been determined to be from natural causes.
