According to social media post, but not officially confirmed by WataugaOnline.com, a long time Boone shipping business has closed.
The Sock Stop, a fixture in the Boone business community for at least 30 years, recently closed their operation at 244 Shadowline Dr. The original owner of the business, Shirley Kris Trachtenberg, passed away last year.
Social media post confirm that the door is locked and there is paper covering all of the windows.
