Early Thursday morning The Greenes (known also as The Singing Greenes to many in the area) were involved in a bus accident near Athens, Georgia.
According to The Singing News, Tim Greene was thrown through the windshield of the bus and was transported to Athens Regional Medical Center. An update Thursday night stated that surgery was performed on both of Tim's arms and that unless complications arose the doctors anticipate discharging him Friday morning. It was also reported that he suffered broken ribs. Another member of the group, Stacy Sanders, sustained a fractured hip and broken toe but did not require surgery. Tony Goforth, the other member of The Greenes, was not on the bus at the time of the accident.
The cause of the accident is being attributed to strong winds according to a Georgia state trooper. *Link to Singing News Updates*
