Last Updated on November 12, 2015 5:09 pm

Strong winds and colder temperatures will be the weather story for the High Country at least through Sunday. A Wind Advisory is in effect until 6am Saturday morning. The National Weather Service says that wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph can be expected for most of the area, but along the ridge tops could see speeds reach up to 55 mph.

Along with the winds a drop in low temperatures will be noticeable. The Weather Service says that lows on Saturday night, and through the overnight, could dip into the lows 20s in the mountain valleys.

Brad Panovich, Chief Meteorologist for NBC Charlotte, notes that wind chills are forecast to be in the teens overnight Saturday.
