…HARD FREEZE WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT
THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.
* TEMPERATURES…IN THE MID TO UPPER 20S TONIGHT. IN THE LOWER 20S
SATURDAY NIGHT.
* WINDS…NORTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH.
* LOCATIONS…NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS.
* HAZARDS…SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND VERY STRONG WINDS.
* TIMING…SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES AFTER MIDNIGHT FRIDAY NIGHT
AND AGAIN SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING. STRONG WINDS
TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.
* IMPACTS…FREEZING TEMPERATURES WILL IMPACT VEGETATION. ANY
EXPOSED CROPS OR FLOWERS WILL BE KILLED. STRONG WINDS CAN BLOW
DOWN TREES AND POWER LINES AND WILL BE A HAZARD TO HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES ON NORTH-SOUTH ORIENTED ROADWAYS. SCATTERED
POWER OUTAGES MAY OCCUR.

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE IMMINENT OR
HIGHLY LIKELY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER
SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED
OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS
OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
A HARD FREEZE WATCH MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE POSSIBLE.
THESE CONDITIONS WILL KILL CROPS AND OTHER SENSITIVE VEGETATION.
