- WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible. - WHERE…Portions of North Carolina and southwest Virginia,
including the following areas, in North Carolina, Alleghany NC,
Ashe, Stokes, Surry, Watauga, Wilkes and Yadkin. In southwest
Virginia, Carroll, Floyd, Grayson and Patrick. - WHEN…Through this evening.
- IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. - ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
- A slow moving low pressure system over the Tennessee Valley
will result in periods of rain through Thursday evening. An
additional 1 to 2 inches of rain will be possible through
