Watauga County in northwestern North Carolina... * Until 845 PM EDT. * At 446 PM EDT, In addition to rain over the past couple of days leaving the ground saturated, moderate to heavy rainfall this afternoon has produced road closures across the area. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Boone... Blowing Rock... Beech Mountain... Foscoe... Sugar Grove... Deep Gap... and Todd. This includes the following location Appalachian State University and Sugar Grove. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
