Fight In Parking Lot Leads To Stabbing In Boone

UPDATE – The stabbing victim is a member of the App State football team. Teh’Ron Fuller is an inside linebacker in his Junior year, according to his bio page at AppStateSports.com. Late Thursday afternoon Appalachian State Head Football Coach Scott Satterfield issued a statement: “Our thoughts are with Teh'Ron and his family. We are thankful for all the medical and support staff that are making sure he is being cared for. Our program and athletic department will continue to support Teh'Ron and his family any way we can during this difficult time.”

On Wednesday, May 4, 2017, at approximately 2:28 AM, Boone police responded to 219 Crossing Way for a fight in the parking lot involving several persons.  Shortly after arriving on-scene, officers were notified by Watauga Medical Center that a subject had been brought to the emergency department suffering from a stab wound.  The victim, Teh’Ron Fuller, 21 years-of-age, reported that he had been stabbed in the parking lot of 219 Crossing Way.  Mr. Fuller is an Appalachian State University student.Mr. Fuller is currently at Wake Forest Baptists Medical Center receiving treatment for his injuries.

At this time, it appears this incident started as an altercation outside a local bar.  Later a fight involving multiple parties occurred in the parking lot of 219 Crossing Way.  Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses and processing the crime scene.  The investigation is continuing.
