Boone Police continue to investigate the death of a male, found in a parking lot of a local apartment complex.
According to information from Boone Police, on Friday morning (May 22, 2015) at approximately 4:30am, they were notified of a deceased male that was brought to Watauga Medical Center Emergency Department by two individuals. The individuals reported finding the decedent in a parking lot of an apartment complex on Robin Lane.
On Saturday police released the man's name, John Dakota Merriss, 18 years-of-age, of Boone, NC. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Merriss’ death is continuing.
