*Press Release from Boone Police*
Investigators have been following numerous leads and tips, but so far have been unable to locate Martin. Martin was last seen on Thursday, April 21, at approximately 12:30 PM near the intersection of Hardin Street and Rivers Street around the ASU Convocation Center. There was a possible sighting of Martin in the Trout Lake area of the Blue Ridge Parkway. A NC State Highway Patrol helicopter assisted in checking the area last night however, nothing was located. He was wearing a black, short sleeve, Appalachian State windbreaker, khaki shorts, gray new balance shoes and a white golf visor hat.
Martin is from Kernersville, NC, and currently resides in Boone while attending Caldwell Community College. He has a large family that loves and supports him. They are awaiting his safe return. They are very concerned because Martin’s disappearance is totally out of character for him. Martin enjoys hiking, camping and spending time on the trails in around the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Any information concerning Martin’s favorite hangouts, recent whereabouts leading up to his disappearance, or people he might have been with, is requested. If you come in contact with Martin, please tell him to contact his family; they love him and want him back. Investigators and the Roberts family are appealing for anyone with information about Martin’s whereabouts to contact us immediately.
To Martin – “If you see this, please come home or contact us. We love you”. – Mom and Dad
