Blue Ridge Energy Announces Promotion of Amy Crowder to CFO

Lenoir, North Carolina (April 7, 2025)– Blue Ridge Energy is pleased to announce the promotion of Amy Crowder to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Crowder has been with Blue Ridge Energy since 2004, holding various roles in consumer and financial accounting before being appointed Director of Financial Strategies in 2014. Throughout her tenure, she has led a highly effective team, driving process improvements and demonstrating exceptional financial expertise, work ethic, and commitment to the cooperative and its subsidiaries.

She succeeds Katie Woodle, who has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer after serving as CFO since 2012.

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Crowder also holds the Cooperative Financial Professional Certificate (CFPC) from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. She is an active member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA) and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives (NSAC). Additionally, she serves on the board of trustees for Morganton Day School.

Crowder earned her degree in accounting from Queens University and resides in Valdese with her husband, Greg, and their son, Joshua.
