Family and friends are remembering the life of a Foscoe teenager after he was killed in a Sunday wreck in the western section of Watauga County.
The single car accident occurred on Mast Gap Road near the 321 intersection around 1pm. Brandon Aldridge, age 16, was driving a 2005 Subaru when it ran off an embankment, hit two trees and landed in a creek. According to scanner dispatches at the time emergency officials had to cut the vehicle to remove Aldridge from it, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. A 12 year old passenger was also in the vehicle and was taken to Watauga Medical Center for non-life-threatening-injuries. His name is not being released by NCSHP due to the child's age.
