Very hot summer time weather is on tap for the High Country, and region, this week. High temperatures are forecast for the 80s and maybe reaching 90 or above midweek.
If Boone reaches 90 this week it will mark the first time of 90 or above since Saturday June 30, 2012, though it has been close a few times since then. Below are the 10 highest all time temperatures for Watauga County. Below that chart is the highest temperatures recorded for June.
