The water main is set to be repaired within the next hour, and water should be restored within the next hour as well. However, due to the location of the break, the road will continue to be reduced to one lane for the next 4 to 6 hours. As such, those commuting toward Blowing Rock are asked to drive with caution, and to add additional time to their commute to account for the increased traffic.

There has been a water main break near 2184 Blowing Rock Road (Walgreens). Highway 321/Blowing Rock Road has been reduced to one lane southbound (toward Blowing Rock).
Water has been turned off to Walgreens and Appalachian Regional Rheumatology, and water is set to return with 4 to 6 hours.
