Vice President JD Vance announced on Sunday that he would be traveling to Damascus Virginia to view Helene recovery efforts. He was last in that area in October to assess the flood damage.
On X he stated, “Tomorrow, I'll return to Damascus, VA to check on their cleanup from Hurricane Helene and we'll continue to do so until they've fully recovered.”
Vance's visit comes on the heels of President Trump's visit to southwestern North Carolina on Friday to also view Helene recovery efforts.
We live in the greatest country in the world. When disaster strikes, Americans ought to expect more out of their federal government.
