Multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire in Valle Crucis on Sunday night.
The 2200 square foot single-family home, at 251 Hickory Trail, is a total loss. Jay Kerley, Watauga County Assistant Fire Marshal, tells WataugaOnline.com that no one was in the home at the time and there were no injuries.
Kerley added that the investigation into the cause is continuing.
The fire was dispatched out to Foscoe Fire, Cove Creek Fire, Boone Fire, Shawneehaw Fire & Fire Marshal's office at 8:35 pm. The fire was logged under control at 10:22 pm, but some personnel didn't leave the scene until the very early morning hours of Monday.
Watauga Medics and Watauga Rescue were also dispatched to the scene.
