The Town of Boone Public Works Department will begin construction on the West King Street Sidewalk Enhancement Project after the July 4 holiday. The project will consist of the replacement of 400 feet of sidewalk along the north side of West King Street from Linney Street to 766 West King Street and will include concrete sidewalk with a border of brick pavers, street and sidewalk lights, and bulb outs at Linney Street.
This design is the same as last summer’s Jones House/Grand Blvd. Project, according to Virginia Flack, Downtown Coordinator for the Department of Cultural Resources. Construction is expected to last through August.
