Reports are coming in slowly this morning. Black ice being reported in spots across the entire High Country. – 5:27am

Per police scanner traffic the hill on Old Bristol Road near Miller Industries in Boone is iced over – 5:39am

From the National Weather Service “Snowfall totals were light, with greater than 2 inches reported in NW NC and high elevations of SE WV” More information here. – 5:45am

Road reports are slow coming in but use caution – 6:10am

Blue Ridge Electric linemen report slick roads in Watauga Couny but all outages restored. More information about the outages from last night. – 6:38am

FB report – “just drove 221 through Ashe to get to work in Caldwell, roads were ok with some icy spots” – 6:45am

via FB – “421 in from the East is dry. Bamboo Rd is dry with just a couple small damp/slick spots. Wilson's Ridge is in good condition. Caution on Bamboo from Dearfield to the airport. Damp and possibly slick spots.” – 6:56am

via fb – “from Green Valley school to Meat Camp Rd. are clear…May be a few places from Meat Camp Rd. to Boone but you should be OK” – 7am
