Three Arrested In Two Business Break-Ins In Late November 2018

Three individuals have been arrested for break-ins and theft from two local business dating back to November.

On November 27th, 2018, Farmers Rental and Power Equipment was the victim of a break-in and then on November 28th, 2018, High Country 4×4 was the victim of a break-in and thefts from numerous vehicles, according to Boone Police.  

 Brandon Alan Johnston, 27 years old, from Lenoir, NC, was arrested on December 17, 2018.

 Jonathan Wesley Mays, 35 years old, of Boomer, NC, was arrested on December 21, 2018.

 

 Ashley Danielle Mays, 34 years old, of Boomer, NC, was arrested on January 9, 2019.

 

Each is charged with two counts of Felonious Breaking and Entering and two counts of Felonious Larceny After Breaking and Entering in the Farmers thefts. Johnston and Jonathan Mays are also charged with two counts of  Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property.

In the High Country 4×4 thefts, each is charged with Felonious Breaking and Entering of a Motor Vehicle, Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property and Misdemeanor Larceny. Johnston and Jonathan Mays are also charged with  Misdemeanor Injury to Real Property. 

A $60,000 secured bond was set for Johnston and Jonathan Mays. A $50,000 secured bond was set for Ashley Mays. A court date for all three is set for January 18, 2019.

High Country Crime Stoppers had issued a crime alert featuring a jeep with distinctive markings, which resulted in information indicating the jeep had been stolen in Lenoir, NC. and ultimately led to the identification and arrests of the individuals.
