Damaging winds and heavy rains are expected for this afternoon. In the morning Hazardous Weather Outlook, NWS says strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. Localized flooding could occur due to the heavy rains.
The severe weather could continue into Tuesday and Wednesday, NWS says, as a few storms become strong, and possibly severe. Damaging wind gusts are the main threats. Localized flooding is possible too, especially closer to the Blue Ridge.
