Storage unit fire in Foscoe on Monday night

Fire crews responded to a storage unit fire in Foscoe on Monday night.

At 11:00 pm multiple departments were dispatched to 10675 NC 105 for a structure fire, according to Watauga County Fire Marshal Shane Garland.

First arriving Foscoe Fire crews found an active fire in one of the storage units located on the property. The fire was controlled within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported and the fire was contained to a unit.

The fire was found to be started by a mechanical malfunction, according to Garland.

Foscoe Fire, Boone Fire, Linville Fire, Seven Devils Fire, Watauga Medics, Watauga Rescue, and the Watauga Fire Marshal’s Office all responded to the scene.
