…STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL MADISON…MITCHELL…
AVERY…NORTHEASTERN BUNCOMBE AND YANCEY COUNTIES THROUGH 930 AM
EDT…

At 822 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Bristol Tn to 7 miles south of Johnson
City to 11 miles southwest of Greeneville. Movement was southeast at
40 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include…
Spruce Pine, Burnsville, Newland, Mars Hill, Banner Elk, Elk Park,
Bakersville, Beech Mountain In Avery County, Crossnore, and Sugar
Mountain.
