The Appalachian State Mountaineers nearly beat the 10th ranked Penn State Nittany Lions in college football on Saturday. After outscoring the Lions 28-14 in the 4th quarter, Penn State scored a touchdown with just 42 seconds to play to force overtime.
In overtime App State won the coin toss and choose to go on defense. Penn State scored a touchdown on their possession and then intercepted an App State game tying pass in the end zone to end the game. Final Score: Penn State 43 App State 38.
