Fans of the cold and snow will feel right in the seasonal spirit as colder conditions move in starting Sunday.
The main weather story is going to be the cold. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory from 6pm Sunday through noon Christmas Day. Winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph are forecast. NWS says that wind chills below zero are expected for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.
Lowes in the teens to 20s are expected on Sunday night, allowing any rain to change to snow during the night and into Christmas morning. Snow accumulations around an inch are possible.
The rest of next week will be a cold one with highs only in the 30s for the week and another possible winter storm event on the horizon as the week comes to a close.
