An accident in Valle Crucis lead to the closing of highway 194 for a time overnight Thursday and into early Friday morning.
The accident, in the 4500 block of highway 194 south, occurred sometime before midnight. The road was closed for a time to allow Blue Ridge Electric to change a power pole due to the accident, according to the Watauga Communications Center twitter feed. The road was fully back open sometime around 5am. A Watauga County Sheriff's Deputy also assisted with traffic control.
