…Temperatures falling this morning…

A strong cold front was crossing from west to east through
southeast West Virginia, southwest Virgina and northwest North
Carolina this morning. Behind the front temperatures will quickly
drop into the lower to mid 30s. This may cause icing and slick
spots where roads and sidewalks are still wet from the rain
overnight.

Use caution when traveling later this morning and into this
afternoon. Temperatures will be below freezing and untreated
surfaces may be slippery.

In addition, winds will increase from the northwest behind the
front with gusts from 25 to 45 mph. By the afternoon wind chill
values will be in the single digits and teens.
