This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.
.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected across the higher mountain
ridges beginning late tonight, resulting in localized downed trees
and a few power outages.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.
Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will persist across the higher mountain
ridges into Tuesday afternoon, and develop again on Wednesday
afternoon through early Thursday.
