This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
North Carolina, northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south
central Virginia, southwest Virginia, and west central Virginia.
.DAY ONEā¦This Afternoon and Tonight.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected again today,
especially during the afternoon and evening. A few storms could
become strong to severe with damaging wind gusts being the main
hazard. Locally heavy rainfall is likely with the stronger storms
which may lead to localized flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVENā¦Thursday through Tuesday.
Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected each
day through the weekend. Locally heavy and repeated rainfall in the
same areas will result in an increased threat for flooding
through the week. A few storms could also become strong to severe
with damaging wind gusts being the main hazard.

mainly due to the threat of flooding and isolated strong to
