This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
southwest Virginia and southeast West Virginia.

.DAY ONE…Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Thursday through Tuesday.

Upslope snow showers will bring minor snowfall accumulation to the
higher elevations of the North Carolina Mountains, Western Slopes,
and Mountain Empire Thursday night into Friday.

A winter storm is currently forecast to impact the region over the
weekend, with timing mostly during the day Sunday. Accumulating
snowfall is expected, with potentially significant accumulations
becoming more likely. Travel disruptions would occur if heavier snow
materializes. Stay tuned.
