northwest North Carolina, south central Virginia, southwest
Virginia and west central Virginia.

Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon through late this evening
will have the potential to produce heavy rain. This may lead to
localized flooding. In addition, an isolated severe thunderstorm is
possible with damaging winds the main threat.
