This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West
Virginia.

.DAY ONEā€¦This afternoon and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVENā€¦Tuesday through Sunday.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday afternoon, especially
closer to the Blue Ridge. The stronger storms could produce
strong wind gusts and small hail, but are expected to remain below
severe limits at this time.

Another more significant threat for strong to severe thunderstorms and
heavy rainfall is expected later in the week, especially Friday into
Saturday.

Spotter activation may be needed to relay reports of severe
weather Tuesday afternoon and evening. Reports should be submitted
