This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest North Carolina,
central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia and
west central Virginia.

.DAY ONE…This afternoon and tonight.

Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected today with
isolated thunderstorms possible this afternoon and evening.
Excessive rainfall could lead to flooding, especially in low-lying
and normally flood prone areas. Small creeks and streams may
experience significant rises in areas of heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Showers and a few thunderstorms are expected each day through the
period. Locally heavy rainfall will remain possible with the
stronger storms.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
