A measure requiring moped owners in North Carolina to have insurance passed a second Senate vote on Monday, and could be on its way to passing a final vote today.
Starting July 1, 2015 moped owners in North Carolina will have to register with the NCDMV, however the issue of insurance has gone back and forth between the House and Senate, from nearly day one of the proposal. WataugaRoads.com will update as the final vote is expected to come in later on Tuesday. If passed the measure would head to the Governor's desk to be signed.
*Update Tuesday night – the vote was withdrawn from the June 16 calendar and placed on the Tuesday June 23 calendar*
