A lost hiker on Grandfather Mountain led to the capture of two stunning sky photos on Chirstmas Day.
Linville-Central Rescue Squad reported that a little after 7:00 pm they received a report of a lost hiker on Grandfather Mountain.
Members of their department, along with members from Linville Volunteer Fire Department and employees of Grandfather Mountain State Park, responded to the call.
The crews hiked just over 3 miles with more than 1800 feet of elevation gain, and made contact with the hiker. There were no injuries, and crews walked back out with the hiker.
With the hiker not injured it allowed crews to capture some stunning photos of the night-time sky.
