The High Country is in store for possible heavy rainfall twice this week, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

In a Monday update, NWS says that moderate to heavy rainfall is expected Tuesday into Tuesday evening. Minor flooding, along with flooding on small creeks and streams will be possible.
A Flood Watch may be issued.

Gusty winds will be part of the weather story Tuesday night into Wednesday. Wind gusts in excess of 60 mph will be possible, according to NWS. A High Wind Watch and/or Warning will likely be issued. NWS warns that the heavy rain and high winds could lead to downed trees and power lines.

The next round of heavy rainfall is expected Friday into Saturday. Flooding may again be possible across the region potentially prompting the need for another Flood Watch within that time frame.
