The National Weather Service office in Blacksburg, Virginia has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for north central North Carolina, northwest North Carolina, central Virginia, south central Virginia, southwest Virginia, west central Virginia and southeast West Virginia, including Watauga, Ashe, Alleghany and Wilkes counties.
Day One — Today and Tonight
Widely scattered thunderstorms will develop this afternoon and evening, with a few becoming capable of producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rain that may result in localized flash flooding.
Days Two Through Seven — Friday Through Wednesday
A few thunderstorms will develop on Friday afternoon and evening, and will be capable of producing heavy rain that may result in localized flash flooding.
