High winds, blowing snow and temperatures in the 20s continue to cause travel problems both in and out of Watauga County. The most notable delay just before 7pm continues to be accidents on 321 near Blowing Rock, one of which involves a tractor and trailer that was blocking both lanes. Below are accounts of conditions as they came in and continue to come in.
4:37pm – Watauga Communications dispatch office is advising that “From Smoketree Lodge on NC Hwy 105 S to Seven Devils Rd is described as a sheet of ice. We are contacting DOT.”
