Freedom Farm Ministries Co-Founder & Local Preacher Passes After Bulldozer Accident

The co-founder of Freedom Farm Ministries passed away after a bulldozer accident on Wednesday.

Both Freedom Farm Ministries and Mountain View Speedway confirm the passing of Robbie Collie after the accident.

In a Facebook post Freedom Farm Ministries said, “It is with a heavy heart that we regret to inform you that the founder of Freedom Farm Ministries Robbie Collie was killed in a bulldozer accident this evening on his farm in Creston NC. Rita co founder of Freedom Farm and Robbie’s wife would appreciate your prayers for herself and family during this time of great loss.”

Also in a Facebook post Mountain View Speedway said, “It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce our very own Preacher Robbie Collie has passed away at his home.Robbie has been a major part of the MVS family in many ways including ways people didn't see.He touched so many lives at the track as well as away from it by the work he did.He was the track announcer this year as well as the track Chaplin.Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Collie family.He will be truly missed.”

Arrangements are:

Robert C. Collie, age 77, of Cabbage Creek, Rd, Creston, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, August 29, 2018 at his home from injuries sustained in an accident. He was born September 28, 1940.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 1-3:30 p.m. at The Rock, 215 Boone Heights Drive, Suite 301, Boone, NC.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Alliance Bible Fellowship, 105 Bypass, Boone, NC.

In lieu of flowers, a Legacy Fund will be established in Robert’s name.  Memorials may be sent for this fund to The Rock, 215 Boone Heights Drive, Suite 301, Boone, NC 28607
