Western Ashe County in northwestern North Carolina…
Southwestern Grayson County in southwestern Virginia…
* Until 700 PM EST
* At 359 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has ended,
reduced to light showers still passing across the advisory area.
Rain will also change over to light snow this evening. However,
runoff from rainfall earlier today will continue to collect in the
local rivers and streams, keeping several of them out of their
banks through the afternoon. Nearby roads, especially low water
crossings may remain flooded and impassible for the several hours
until water levels recede.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
