Boone, NC – April 18, 2024 – Come Back Shack is proud to announce the third and final Give Back Day of the school year, dedicated to supporting Watauga County Schools. On Tuesday, April 23rd, patrons are invited to dine at Come Back Shack all day, knowing that 20% of all sales made that day will directly contribute towards eliminating student lunch debt in the Watauga County Schools system.
In addition to the proceeds from sales, Come Back Shack offers customers the opportunity to make a direct donation through the online menu or at the drive-thru. 100% of these donations will go directly to Watauga County Schools.
The previous two Give Back Days have already made a significant impact, raising over $7000 for Watauga County Schools. Monica Bolick, Director of School Nutrition for Watauga County Schools, expressed gratitude for the community's support, stating, “Our current outstanding balance is around $24,000. We have donations of just under $11,000 towards that balance. Of that amount, the Come Back Shack has been our biggest contributor by far. We are so grateful for the generous donation of $7,087 that you have given towards this debt. We are hopeful that this final Give Back Day will prove as successful as the past two in helping relieve the burden of debt on our families and our schools.”
Come Back Shack extends its heartfelt appreciation to the community for their support thus far and invites everyone to join in on Tuesday, April 23rd, to make a difference for Watauga County Schools. Every purchase and donation counts towards ensuring that students have access to meals without the burden of lunch debt.
