The Boone Police Department will begin working on parking regulations that have become a problem in parts of the town.

Beginning Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the Boone Police Department and Town of Boone Parking Enforcement will begin enforcing the no student/ commuter parking regulations in parks and recreation parking lots owned by the Town of Boone. This will include the lots on Martin Luther King Blvd and Deerfield Road.

A flyer, explaining the Town of Boone Ordinance § 72.08 PARKING IN TOWN PARKS, will be left on some vehicle windshields to begin with.

It reads, “This is a reminder that the parks and recreation parking lots for the Town of Boone are for patrons utilizing the facilities at the park. If you park here and leave the park property, you will be subject to a citation, or your vehicle may be towed.”
