Boone, NC – On February 6, 2024, officers with the Boone Police Department located a stolen vehicle entering the Boone town limits. The vehicle, a 2003 blue Honda CRV was located traveling north on Blowing Rock Road. Responding officers confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from Charlotte, North Carolina and conducted a felony traffic stop.
Fifty-three-year-old Franklin Roosevelt Chisholm, of Spring Forest Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina, was identified as the driver. Franklin Chisholm was arrested without incident and appeared before a Watauga County Magistrate.
He was charged with Felonious Possessing a Stolen Motor Vehicle and was issued a March 7th court date in Watauga County District Court. Mr. Chisholm was placed in the custody of the Watauga County Detention Center under a $10,000.00 secured bond.
