Monday Aug 31

No flagging/lane closure operations are currently scheduled today on US321 in Blowing Rock

 Stay alert to vehicles entering/exiting US321 and side roads as well as private and business driveways, from Norwood Circle to Food Lion Shopping Center, as ALL TRAFFIC remains in a temporary pattern on the future northbound lanes through this section of the project ***

Exclusive right turn lane reopens for southbound traffic at US 321 Bus/US 221 near Chetloa. US 321 Bus south near Blowing Rock Furniture Gallery remains closed at US321. Detour route signing for motorist heading into downtown Blowing Rock is posted along Sunset Dr. Access to all businesses and homes is available during this closure.

1:26pm – Expect delays on 194 south between Baird's Creek Road and Vilas due to wreck.

Tuesday Sept 1

9:33am – Accident Int US 221N at 421 S. Fire and EMS on scene

Flagging/lane closure operations are currently scheduled throughout the project today on US321 in Blowing Rock for pavement repair.

Reports of paving operations 321 N in area of Watauga River Bridge.

Wednesday Sept 2

Flagging/lane closure operations are currently scheduled today on 321 in Blowing Rock near Green Park Inn

8:46pm – Large tree blocking the roadon Hwy 194 north just past New Market Blvd. Road will be closed for an unknown amount of time.

Thursday Sept 3

12:44am – Boone Police report 194 is back open.

Slow-moving operations are currently scheduled throughout the project today on 321 in Blowing Rock for paint striping and pavement marker installation.

5:47pm – Accident 321S at Aho Rd &  Mack Hampton Rd area. Expect delays in that area.

Friday Sept 4

No traffic impacts today on 321 in Blowing Rock due to Labor Day Holiday. Possible flagging on Ransom St.

Structure fire on Watauga River Road. Watch for fire and EMS in that area.

5:37pm Friday – expect delays on King Street near Bill’s Garage due to a rollover wreck.
