AppHealthCare and Appalachian Regional Healthcare System To Host Watauga County Opioid Summit Friday May 11th, 2018

BOONE, N.C. – On Friday, May 11th, AppHealthCare, Appalachian Regional Healthcare System and other community organizations will host an Opioid Summit at the Watauga Medical Center Auditorium from 9:00am to 1:00pm. 

Join the summit to learn about the impact of the opioid epidemic on our community, find out what resources are available, and develop collaborative strategies for effective education, prevention and treatment. Danny Staley, Director of the North Carolina Division of Public Health, will provide keynote remarks. A free Naloxone training will be provided by Michelle Mathis of Olive Branch Ministry.
