App State vs. JMU Sold Out of Reserved Seats

Last Updated on September 7, 2022 3:04 pm

BOONE, N.C. — App State’s Sept. 24 “Black Saturday” home game against James Madison is officially sold out of reserved seats, marking the third of seven home games so far this fall that have been announced as sellouts.

Student guest tickets will be available at $30 each the week of the game, while supplies last. App State students will receive information via email at the beginning of that week about how to reserve their tickets and purchase student guest tickets.

There are also a limited number of tickets available for The Rock Garden – a premium on-field area in the north end zone.

This is the latest in a trend of Kidd Brewer Stadium sellouts. App State announced July 19 that football season tickets are sold out for the first time in school history after approximately 11,000 had been sold. The next day, the Sept. 3 season opener against North Carolina officially became a sellout, and then on Aug. 8 it was announced that the Family Weekend game against The Citadel was sold out.

Single-game tickets are on sale to the general public for other home games. Families, friends and alumni are encouraged to consider tickets for remaining home games such as Homecoming (Oct. 29) to visit campus this fall.

A stadium record crowd of 40,168 witnessed an instant classic of a college football game last Saturday at The Rock. After wild momentum swings and a 40-point explosion by the Mountaineer offense in the fourth quarter, App State was edged by North Carolina 63-61.

The Mountaineers travel to No. 6 Texas A&M this Saturday (3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2) before returning to Boone for consecutive home games against Troy (Sept. 17), JMU (Sept. 24) and The Citadel (Oct. 1).
