Ambulance Stolen From AppState Football Game On Thursday Night According To Reports

High Country Crime Stoppers and ASU Police Department seek the public’s assistance in solving the following crime:

 On Thursday night, October 22, 2015, at approximately 9 PM, a Watauga Medics ambulance was taken from Kid Brewer Stadium on the campus of Appalachian State University. The ambulance was observed traveling south on NC 105 near Poplar Grove Road south. A short time later, officers located the ambulance abandoned at The Cottages of Boone.

 A $1000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.

UPDATE Friday 9am – Boone Police confirm an ambulance was stolen, and the investigation is being handled by ASU Police. The medic unit was found on Fallsview Lane which is located in The Cottages of Boone housing development.

UPDATE 11:30PM – a Charlotte TV station is reporting the ambulance was found on Fairview Lane. No official confirmation from Boone Police to WataugaRoads.com as of that report.

UPDATE 10:00pm – According to both Boone Police and ASU Police dispatch they have not received any reports of an ambulance stolen.  

9:44pm – According to text and social media reports into WataugaRoads.com, an ambulance was stolen from the ASU football game on Thursday night. WataugaRoads.com is working on the details, and will update information as it becomes available.

9:49pm – According to reports there was a fire at Trivette Hall on the ASU campus. The fire is under control per a source on the scene. More details coming.
