Though the High Country is not totally out of the threat for winter weather for several more weeks, the improved weather conditions are allowing for more consistent work to resume on 321 in Blowing Rock.
Caprice Cheek, NCDOT Engineering Technician, says that with moderating temperatures and improving weather conditions in the forecast, construction operations are anticipated to begin resuming on a more regular basis. On Monday (March 16) the schedule included flagging and lane closures at the intersection of 321 and Tanger Outlets. Motorist are advised to expect and be prepared for delays again as work resumes.
