…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO
4 PM EST WEDNESDAY…

* WHAT…Light snow accumulations expected. Total snow
accumulations of up to 3 inches with the highest elevations
seeing isolated higher totals. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…Avery County.

* WHEN…From 10 PM this evening to 4 PM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The highest snowfall totals are expected in
the western and northern parts of the county, especially along
the Tennessee border. Locations in the eastern part of Avery
County may only see a dusting of snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
